Born in Guernsey, I have lived here all my life.
During this time I have spent many years researching the German Occupation of the Channel Islands during the Second World War as well as other aspects of the history of the Channel Islands.
Having realised that little had been written about those that tried to escape from the Channel Islands during the German Occupation of the Channel Islands, I embarked on a three year project, researching and writing about these escape attempts. The end result was my book ‘Tides of Defiance’.
